Add a Budget Change
Add budget change requests when costs needs to be adjusted.
To add a budget change request:
- In the object selector, select a project or program.
- From the Main Menu, select Cost and Funds, and then select Budget.
- Select the Changes tab.
- On the Changes tab, select Add.
- On the budget changes list, and in the Details panel, enter the new information for the budget.
Complete the following fields based on your cost category types:
- CBS Code: Select a CBS code for the budget line item.
- (Optional) Cost Category: Select the cost category applicable to the budget line item.
- Cost: Enter the cost of the budget line item. Cost can be entered manually or calculated using the calculation fields.
- (Optional) Labor Rate: Enter the cost per labor hour of the budget line item.
- (Optional) Unit Rate: Enter the cost per Unit of Measure of the budget line item.
- (Optional) Quantity: Enter the expected amount of each budget line item needed to complete the required work.
- (Optional) Hours: Enter the hours required to complete the budget line item. This field is only editable for budget line items with a cost category of labor.
- (Optional) Unit of Measure: Select the type of measurement used when determining quantity for the budget line item.
- (Optional) Production Rate: Enter the number of hours per unit of measure of the budget line item.
- Select Save.
