Add the Change Status to Rejected Task Step
Note: This topic is part of the Custom Idea Workflow: Example series.
If the idea owner rejected the idea in the Idea Approval Decision step, the workflow will reach this step, which will automatically update the idea status to Rejected. This will then end the workflow and no further action can be taken on the idea.
To add the Change Status to Rejected Task step:
- On the Workflow Design toolbar, select Add a task step, and drag it onto the workflow design canvas.
- Position the new step to the right of the Idea Approval step icon.
- In the Step area, in the Name field, enter Change Status to Rejected.
- Select Add , and then select Update Field Task.
- In the Update Field Task Details dialog box, in the Name field, enter Status Change to Rejected, and then select OK.
- On the workflow design canvas, in the Idea Approval step icon, select Draw connector line, and then select the Change Status to Rejected step icon.
- On the workflow design canvas, in the Change Status to Rejected step icon, select Draw connector line, and then select the End step icon.
- Select the Idea Approval step icon.
- In the Manual Decision area, in the Exit Options table, select Option 1, and then enter Reject.
- Select Save.
