Custom Idea Workflow: Example
This example demonstrates how to create a custom Idea workflow that can be used to create project proposals from accepted ideas. This example will provide you with a better understanding of how to create workflows for ideas using the Workflows and Forms app.
Before you begin—
- In the workspace where you plan to work through this example, make sure you have these workspace-level security permissions:
- Workflow Design: Add, Edit, Delete, View
- Workflow Configuration: Add, Edit, Delete, View
- Forms: Add, Edit, Delete, View
- Ideas: Add
- Projects: Add
- Project Proposal: Add
- In the workspace where you plan to work through this example, make sure you have these idea-level security permissions:
- Accept: Enable
- Assign Owner: Enable
- Evaluation: Edit, View
- Idea: Edit
- Reject: Enable
- Reopen: Enable
- Set as Draft: Enable
- Make sure that you set the idea routers and owners for the workspace. For the sake of this example, you should set yourself as router and owner, so that you can test the custom workflow after this example is completed.
- You must set an approve project proposal workflow in order to create a project proposal. Otherwise, you will get an error when attempting to create a project proposal from an accepted idea.

- Design a Project Proposal Form
