Working with Project Dashboard Tile Types
You can choose from a variety of tile types to create a custom dashboard.
Overview: Overview tile types provide general information about the project such as name, ID, description, status, location, and manager.
Chart: Chart tile types provide a visual representation of data contained within the workspace. Charts are created on the Charts page.
Map Viewer: The Map Viewer provides a high-level view of the location of the project. Specify what data is shown on each map pin using the Select Map Fields dialog box.
Photo: Use the photo tile type to add an image to a dashboard. For example, you may want to add an image that shows the physical status of your project. You can customize the image sizing to fit, fill, or be positioned in the center of the tile.
Text: The text tile type enables you to enter custom text. For example, you can add a link to your organization's homepage or your line of business.
List: Lists at the project level can be customized to display a top ten list of activities, risks, scope assignments, work packages, activities starting this week, and activities finishing this week. If you select a top ten list for projects, you can configure how the list is sorted from the Sort By menu.
Count: Count tile types display the total number of objects contained within a project that a user has access to view. Choose from activities, risks, files, scope items, reports, assignments, and work packages. Counts are an effective way to show a total amount of a specified object within that project. Users can navigate to object pages when they hover over the count tile and select More.
Cost Summary: The Project Budget tile displays the costs of the project including Approved Manual Current Budget, Approved Original Manual Budget, Approved Manual Budget Changes, Approved Manual Budget Transfers, Pending Original Manual Budget, Pending Manual Budget Changes, and Pending Manual Budget Transfers.
Measure: Use measure tile types to display information about pre-configured measures of the project.
External Content: Enter an external URL to display the content of a website in the dashboard. If the content cannot be viewed in the dashboard, there will be a link to the website which will open in a new window.
