Working with Global Search
Use Global Search to Access Projects Video
Global Search enables you to search by workspaces, projects, files, activities, scope items, risks, portfolios, programs, ideas, and users. You can view all results or you can use the filter to narrow your search results. Your five most recent searches are cached for use in the future.
To access global search:
- Select Search, and enter your search criteria.
The Filter list will appear.
- In the Filter list, select the objects to search.
Tips
- You can also access the global search filter list using the following keyboard shortcuts: Press Tab to navigate to the Global Search field. Use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow to select a search result. With the first result selected, press Shift + Tab to access the Filter list. Press Ctrl + Spacebar to select filter options.
- To use the spatial search feature, enter near in the Search field to populate the Within list.
- Narrow your search by specifying additional details. For example, you may want to include part of a project name to search for all projects containing that name near or within a certain location.
