Send a Portfolio Budget Plan Scenario for Approval
A budget plan scenario can be approved by the budget planner or by the designated reviewer, depending on your organizational practices.
When a planner sends the chosen scenario for approval, the designated approver is sent notification and is provided with a link to the Budget Planning page.
Note: Before sending the scenario for review, select Refresh to run the portfolio filter to ensure all projects are included in the scenario.
To send a budget plan for approval:
- In the object selector, select Portfolio, and then select View Portfolios List.
- Select a portfolio name.
- From the Main Menu, select Cost and Funds, and then select Budget Planning or Published Views.
- Select an analysis view.
- Select the scenario menu, and select Send for Approval.
- In the Send for Approval dialog box, view the name of the user assigned the approver role on the budget plan who will receive notification, and select Send for Approval.
Tips
- After a budget plan scenario is sent for approval, the status, as shown on the scenario tab, is automatically set to Under Approval.
- When the status of a scenario is Under Approval, the scenario cannot be updated. To make changes to the scenario, the status must be set back to In Planning by selecting the scenario menu and selecting Plan.
