Add a Notebook Topic
Notebook topics are added at the workspace level. After notebook topics are added, they can be assigned to objects within the workspace. You must be assigned the Add, Edit privilege for Notebook Topics to be able to add a notebook topic to the workspace.
To add a notebook topic:
- In the object selector, select Workspace, select View Workspaces List, and then select a workspace name.
- From the Main Menu, select Summary & Settings.
- On the Summary & Settings page, select Dictionaries, and then select Notebook Topics.
- In the table, select Add.
- In the new row, in the new Name field, enter a unique name for the notebook topic.
- (Optional) Update the Sharing Method field. The sharing method is set to Manual by default.
- In the Applies to panel, select Activities, Projects, or WBSs, or all to allow the notebook topic to be assigned in these objects.
- Select Save.
Tips
- To add notebook topics from parent workspaces that have the sharing method set to Manual, select Assign.... Notebook topics in parent workspaces that have the sharing method set to Automatic will show by default.
- Use the Context menu to add and delete notebook topics, view which workspaces the notebook topic is currently used by, and change the owning workspace of the notebook topic.
