Add or Open a Task Plan on the Work Plan Page

Add or open a task plan to display specific swimlane categories on the Work Plan page planning board. Creating a task plan with swimlanes can be especially useful when organizing task cards on the planning board by hierarchical objects such as WBS or codes. One of the most important details to consider is the starting level for your swimlanes, which is included in the total number of levels that display.

You can add as many task plans as you need for planning purposes but be sure to name them something significant to the project or swimlanes that you associate to the task plan. You will see the name of the open task plan display above the planning board.

Note: You must have Configure Task Plan privileges enabled in Project permissions to add, edit, or delete task plans.
