Synchronize Resource Availability and Rates
When making changes to and managing resource availability and rates, you can synchronize availability and rates for resources within your workspace. After making changes in the Availability & Rates detail panel for an individual resource, you can then sync those changes to other resources down the workspace hierarchy.
To synchronize workspace resource availability and rates:
- Navigate to the workspace resource page
- In the object selector, select Workspace, select View Workspaces List, and then select a workspace name.
- From the Main Menu, select Resources, and then select Resource List.
- Select the Actions menu, and then select Synchronize Availability and Rates.
- In the Synchronize availability and rates? dialog box, select Synchronize Now. When Synchronize Now is selected, availability and rates in all child workspaces and projects are updated with changes made in this workspace.
Tips
- Schedule and recalculate costs within a project to ensure the schedule is updated to reflect availability and rate changes.
- You must have the edit costs privilege for resources to synchronize availability and rates from the Resource List page. If you also have the edit costs privilege for roles in the current workspace, the roles will also be synchronized when Synchronize Now is selected.
- When synchronization is completed successfully, or if synchronization fails, a notification is displayed, and the full message can be reviewed in the Inbox.
