Configure Cash Flow Rows
You can specify which rows are shown on the Cash Flow page. This influences which curves are shown on the Charts tab.
To configure cash flow rows:
- In the object selector, select a project or program.
- From the Main Menu, select Cost and Funds, and then select Cash Flow.
- On the Cash Flow page, select Settings.
- On the Rows tab, select the rows that you want to view on the Cash Flow page:
Financial Costs:
- Forecast: The remaining or forecast cost of the project or program. Before a project or program begins, Forecast is typically the same as the Planned Budget.
- Actuals: The actual costs incurred for the project or program, such as invoices, payments, and accruals.
- Planned Budget: The planned or estimated total cost of a project or program.
- Portfolio Approved Budget: The multi-year approved budget assigned to the project or budget plan scenario by the budget planner. The Portfolio Proposed Budget becomes the Portfolio Approved Budget after a budget plan scenario is approved.
- Benefits: The anticipated income or positive cash flow from which all charges, costs, and expenses are subtracted to arrive at the net income for the project or program.
Resource Costs:
- Resource Demand: The aggregated cost for all roles in a project based on their demand. This is displayed as the Summary of Demand Costs on the project Resource Demand page.
- Resource Commitment: The total cost for all roles in a project that is associated with committed units, reflecting the approved allocations for each role from a resource scenario. This is displayed as the Summary of Commitment Costs on the project Resource Demand page.
Note: Resource Costs are not supported when the globally configured fiscal year is different from the calendar year.
Variances show the differences between the data in the Costs rows. For example, the row Actuals - Forecast shows the differences between values in the Actuals row and those in the Forecast row:
- Forecast - Portfolio Approved Budget
- Actuals - Forecast
- Portfolio Approved Budget - Actuals
- Actuals - Planned Budget
- Select Apply.
Tips
- Auto Scale for charts scales the Y-axis values based on the maximum incremental and cumulative values to show full plot points. When Auto Scale is off, values are displayed based on total incremental and cumulative values. Auto Scale toggle is on by default.
- Slide the handles on the timescale below the chart to zoom in or out on a time frame.
