Import Budget Scenario Data from Microsoft Excel
You can bulk import budget scenario data into an existing scenario from a Microsoft Excel (.xls or .xlsx) file. After downloading the import template, follow the instructions to enter data in the spreadsheet. The import will fail if there are any invalid values in the spreadsheet. You can download the spreadsheet file to view and fix the errors indicated in the error column at the end of each worksheet, and then import the file again.
You must have sufficient portfolio privileges to import budget scenario data from Microsoft Excel.
To import budget scenario data from Microsoft Excel:
- In the object selector, select Portfolio, and then select View Portfolios List.
- Select a portfolio name.
- From the Main Menu, select Cost and Funds, and then select Budget Planning.
- Select the scenario where you want to import the budget scenario data.
- In the Project View, select the Actions menu, and then select Import.
Note: This option is only available if the current scenario is In Planning.
- In the Import Project Budget dialog box, select Browse, select a file, and select Import.
Tips
- Only one scenario can be imported per template.
- During the import process, the page is read-only. When the process is complete, you will receive a system notification with a link to the Budget Planning page.
