Print Layouts Overview
Print layouts are a unique type of report that enable you to report on a single record of data. Traditional Primavera Cloud reports are designed to run at the workspace, project, program, or portfolio level to report on all the data in the main subject areas and any sub-areas. Print layouts are formatted to display data for a single object at the project, program, or portfolio level. Print layouts are intended to be printed or saved as a document. For example, you may want to print a change order document based on an individual change order object.
Print layout reports are supported by the following objects:
- Change Orders
- Commitments
- Contracts
- Payment Applications
- Submittals
Use the Print Layout Editor to create, design, and manage your print layouts. Similar to traditional reports, you can configure print layout columns, time periods, filters, and other data using the Print Layout Editor. However, you must have BI Publisher enabled to specify the look and feel of your print layouts. BI Publisher-based layouts enable you to customize your print layout for single-record reporting.
You can also create print layouts and BI Publisher-based layouts through the import of configuration packages. Data imported in a configuration package at the workspace level will be available to all child workspaces and projects automatically. Data imported in a configuration package at a child workspace will only be available to that workspace and its child projects.
After a print layout is created, and a layout is configured in BI Publisher, you must associate it with the corresponding object at the workspace, project, program, or portfolio level. After it is linked, you can then run the report directly from the object page.
