Designing Accessible Reports
This section lists considerations for designing reports and print layouts to increase accessibility for users using assistive technology.
Alternative Text for Logos/Pictures
Alt text is descriptive text for an image that can be read by assistive technology. Alt text is not available for the Logo/Picture option in report headers or footers. If you insert a logo or image in the header or footer of the report, edit the HTML output to include alt text.
Output Format
When running or scheduling reports, choose the HTML output format.
Use of Color
For column text and column heading colors, use the default text and background color settings.
Report Editor
When editing reports in the Report Editor or print layouts in the Print Layout Editor, you can toggle the Accessible option to ensure generated reports meet accessibility standards. When enabled, the output format is automatically set to HTML, and the Text Color and Table Background Color fields are reset to the default settings. These fields are also set to read-only. Disabling this option may impact the accessibility of your reports.
